weaverpunksosu2012.jpgTucson, AZ – The Arizona Wildcats continue to win close games against lesser opponents. Oregon State was not expected to put up much of a fight considering former results. But the Beavers kept plugging away with big 3rd down conversions and big turnovers.

Josh Zelman effectively said he was not interested in the Heisman by throwing 2 picks, no touchdowns, and going 10/18 for 230 yards. After the game he was unresponsive to reporters, and refused to answer questions not related to Judaism.

Jason Weaver, however, had 180 yards recieving and made one of the most spectacular plays of the year where he caught the ball and then leap frogged the OSU defender (pictured). After the game he said “poster time. I’m getting that blown up, put on my wall, my MySpace, my Facebook, we’ll all be seeing that for years.” When asked about an Arizona Heisman he said “it’s coming, we got one already, but I’m planning on pulling in two. I just gotta get a brother throwing me the ball, Dane you my boy! one mo’ year!”zelmanpocketosu.jpg

Eric Washington had another solid game, rushing for 2 TDs and 30 yards on 10 carries including some clutch runs late in the fourth quarter to seal the game. He is writing the book on Arizona fullbacks and continue to contribute.

Michael Rushing kicked 3 field goals, including two from beyond 40 yards. He is definitely making a case for himself in the race for the Groza.

Arizona is now #3 in the BCS behind Miami and Oklahoma, and will need some luck to find their way into the Championship game. Although they have 1 vote for 1st place in both the coaches and the media poll, they desperately want a shot at the title.
