Pasadena, CA – The participants in the 2014 Rose Bowl were announced today and it will be the 3rd Ranked Arizona Wildcats playing the Fourth Ranked and undefeated Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The game is rife with BCS controversy as many believe Virginia Tech earned a bid to the National Title game on the heels of a very very weak ACC.  Though Penn State is a legitimate #1, some say Notre Dame and even Arizona should be playing for this title.

There is even talk that if Notre Dame wins the Rose Bowl they deserve a share of the title, something we haven’t seen since 2003 when USC and LSU split a national title.

“I don’t worry about that mess,” said a distraught Dane Wright after the Heisman ceremony.  “I just want to leave Arizona as a winner.  It’s my last game in this uniform and I want it to be special.”

With NFL scouts in attendance, Wright is hoping the game will bring him to the next level.

Jason Weaver was not so subtle.

“Notre Dame is the worst undefeated team I’ve ever seen,” said Weaver after winning the Heisman.  “I am calling my shot right now: Arizona 42, Notre Dame 14 – Jason Weaver 200 yards receving, 3 TDs.”

New  Year’s Day will be an interesting one.
