haynestds2015ucla.jpgTucson, AZ – Will Higgins will never forget this game against UCLA.  He had the game of a lifetime – six tackles, 4 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.  He essentially had a great 2015 Season on Saturday.  Absolutely incredible, Higgins was named Defensive Player of the Week for the whole NCAA.  And yet, somehow, he was overshadowed by his own teammate.

Redwood Haynes, in his first game as Redwood, had thirty carries for 298 yards and four touchdowns.  He fell five yards short of the Single Game Arizona Record set by Chris Henry.  He was also named Offensive POTW. He did set the Arizona Single Season rushing record, and still has three more games to further deicmate the record.

“I will not talk about the game,” said Haynes after the game.  “Will had the game of his life, you talk to him.  I will only talk about the deforestation of the Pacific Northwest or the crimes against humanity we are committing by wasting another day without signing Kyoto.”

Will Higgins was as shocked as anyone: “I don’t know why I was so pumped up,” said Higgins.  “I guess I really hate things from Los Angeles, they are so annoying and fake and gross, it just gets me so angry that people are taking pictures outside of Hyde but they don’t care about the workers in Ohio, ahhhhhh.” At this point Higgins punched his locker and broke it in half.higginsint.jpg

Casey Cook had a terrible first half, going 1/6 for 25 yards, but ended up going 6/13 for 92 yards.  Some boosters are getting pretty excited about the prospect of this offense shifting back to a passing attack.

“I can’t wait until we throw the ball again,” said Marcus Holbert after the game.  “I mean Brian, sorry, Redwood is a legend, and Casey Cook is doing well, but it would nice to play a little more and have an impact.  But we’re winning, so who cares.”

Paul Martin aslo had an amazing game with ten tackles and one TFL.

The Game had Lorenzo McGee from Santa Clarita, CA in attendance, he committed after watching Arizona run it.

The season looks to have a crazy finish with Arizona is good position to possibly sneak into a National title game, especially if #22 Arizona State  stays undefeated.
