uwpassinterferencecall2016.jpgTucson, AZ – The Washington Huskies continue to be that unranked annoying thorn in the side of the Arizona Wildcats. This time, they played Arizona tough, much tougher than the 30-13 final would indicate. To get an idea about how dominant Washington was in this game, they were leading 7-3 at the half.

In the first half, the Wildcats could get nothing done on offense, the line was not blocking and Washington was just disrupting everything. Casey Cook struggled tremendously when facing adversity and actually threw a pick that was returned for a touchdown, the first score of the game.

“Man, I’m getting sick of this,” said Cook who went 3/10, 58 yards, 1 INT, 2 Sacks. “Everyone says I should play for the Toronto Maple Leafs – since I’m only a good player when we’re winning, but I quit when we’re behind. It’s not true. I don’t even want to wear the Dave Ellett Jersey they got me. I used to love it.”

With Cook pulled at the end of the first half, Brent Robinson came in and played like a hero. Not a superstar, he didn’t take over the game, but he didn’t make mistakes and made some solid passes.

But his most importantly play came on a 3rd and long in the early 4th quarter when Arizona was trailing by 10 points. Robinson dropped back and made a throw to Mike McIntosh who was unable to catch the ball because of a pass interference call.

“It was totally legit,” said McIntosh after the game. “He pushed off, those Washington fans are idiots.”

From that point, the momentum was sucked right out of the Huskies as Redwood Haynes, who had been contained up until that point broke out and scored 3 second half touchdowns. He ended the game with 31 carries, 199 yards, and 3 TDs. Setting the Arizona career rushing TD record.redwoodtdrecordwash2016.jpg

“I want to say that it’s a big deal for me,” said Haynes after the game. “But a bigger deal is protecting the Redwoods of the Pacific Northwest. I think everyone here should watch An Inconvenient Truth to honor the record.”

On the other side of the ball, Washingon was led by their quarterback Matt Archer, who is the illegitimate son of former CFL quarterback David Archer. he went 13/26 , 161, 1 TD and 7/74 Rushing.

But Washington’s real star was
